Blogs About Maternal Mental Health

May is Maternal Mental Health Month – it is a month dedicated to bringing the awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders to the forefront for discussion. These disorders have an impact on, and alter how, mothers interact with their babies and how they can care for themselves.
We’ve talked quite a bit about Maternal Health, both on this blog and through our social media outlets. Talking about it is important, and my hope is that it helps other people.
There are several blogs dedicated to this subject. These blogs are a forum to share the stories and experiences of women who have navigated the world of postpartum mood disorders. One of the biggest assets in working to overcome these challenges is knowing that you are not alone.
Although we all approach life, and life’s challenges differently, I honour these women for sharing their stories.
Do you know of other blogs dedicated to this subject? If so, list them below.

Hi! I blog about having postpartum onset bipolar disorder at “Birth of a New Brain” @ http://www.proudly bipolar.wordpress.com.
My book “Birth of a New Brain – Healing from Postpartum Bipolar Disorder” with a foreword by Dr. Walker Karraa (“Transformed by Postpartum Depression: Women’s Stories of Trauma and Growth”) will be published by Post Hill Press in Fall, 2016.
Dyane, I’ll go check out your blog and keep me posted on the release of your book. I’m so sorry to hear of any woman who has suffered but I hope that your book will bring insight and hope to other moms. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sonya! I came by this link because I’m looking for one or two more blogs by moms with postpartum onset bipolar to include in my book’s resource section. I apologize for this short notice, but if you know of any women, please email me before October 1, 2016 at dyane@baymoon.com. (I have Jessica Azar & Ann Roselle & Genevieve Desrochers) I hope this finds you and your family well!
Many thanks! Dyane
